Zim model crowned Miss Ireland international

Zimbabwean model Blessing Mutamba was recently crowned Miss Ireland  international at a prestigious pageant held in the country.  Mutamba was crowned to be the best in two categories namely best interview and most photogenic before she was judged to be the queen of the night.

Mutamba’s first participation in a pageant came back in 2011. Since then she has never looked back, taking part in four other pageants since her debut. Her most successful though is the one that saw her land the prestigious Miss Ireland international crown.

The 23 year old Zimbabwean is involved in charity work having set up a charitable organization called Giving Through Labels. Winning the crown Miss Ireland international, Mutamba has a glorious opportunity of developing her charitable outreach.

Hailing from Mutare Blessing Mutamba grew up in Ireland and went to Southampton Solent University where she got a first class honours degree in Creative Enterprise before completing  her masters degree at Falmouth University where she developed a liking for being involved in charity work.

The Zimbabwean was featured as the cover model for GBG Magazine in December 2012. She was also a finalist in Face of Models United 2009 and has won awards such as Miss African Spirit Most Photogenic, Miss Collegiate Ireland 1st runner up and was in the top 10 for Miss Zimbabwe UK in 2011.

Mutamba believes there is often stigma surrounding the modeling industry in general and feels pageants are a beacon of positivity which shows spectators that just because someone is beautiful does not mean that they cannot be intelligent.
