WhatsApp Not Working In Zimbabwe On Some Networks

The embattled government has today shut down WhatsApp on mobiles in Zimbabwe as people have decided to heed stay away calls. If you’re in Zimbabwe, you’ve probably noticed that your WhatsApp is not working anymore.

Zimbabweans have been sharing via Twitter and Facebook tricks on how to bypass blocked WhatsApp in case the government tries to block the messaging service during the current stay away protest.

This follows rumors that government might have a hand in the slow internet connection across the country today as citizens embark on the #ShutDownZimbabwe2016 campaign.
