FC Platinum continues to sharpen its rods

By Geronimo News

Champions FC Platinum are not resting on their laurels as they are putting in some extra hours in training to ensure they will be ready in time ahead of the commencement of the 2023 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League season.

Although there are no dates set yet for the resumption of the premiership action, the Zvishavane outfit, who have emerged the team to beat, are not wasting any time in sharpening their rods.

Currently the Zimbabwe champions are in Bulawayo for their pre-season camp.

In several posts on their various social media platforms, FC Platinum are seen sweating it out under the watchful eyes of their award winning coach Norman Mapeza and his lieutenants.

Given the fusion of young talent and experience, coupled with continuity in their camp, the platinum miners are set for another showdown in the Zimbabwean topflight.

However, just like any other team in the Zimbabwean topflight, the platinum miners have also added a few more players into their already strong fold to further strengthen their squad with a view of retaining the title once again – for a record 5th time on the bounce.

So far, Mapeza and his technical team have acquired the services of talented winger Jarrison Selemani and left back Misheck Ngwenya while prodigal son Perfect Chikwende has made a sensational return to the club after turning out for Simba SC of Tanzania and Bulawayo Chiefs upon his homecoming from East Africa. With the transfer window ahead of the new season still open, it is hoped FC Platinum will add a few more players into their ranks.
