Ecocash has debunked rumours about its security. This comes after rumours circulated on social media that thieves can steal money from a person’s account without using a pin code. There was a text that cited an individual warning people about the security of their Ecocash accounts.
Econet Zimbabwe released a statement dismissing the rumours. The Ecocash statement said:
