Mokoomba Gets Honoured By Africa

Mokoomba continues to raise the Zimbabwean flag high. The world touring band will be inducted into the Afropop Hall of Fame. They will be honoured on the 3rd of May at New York’s City Winery at Afropop’s 30th Anniversary.

Mokoomba will join Garifuna legend Aurelio Martinez. Mokoomba will also perform at the gala.

Zimbabweans who jave been inducted in the hall of fame include legends Oliver Mtukudzi and Thomas Mapfumo. Past inductees include King Sunny Ade, Youssou N’Dour, Oumou Sangare, Angelique Kidjo, Habib Koite, and Harry Belafonte.

The Afropop Hall of Fame in ducts artists for their artistic excellence and their significant roles in connecting Americans to Africa.
