Will the Zimbabwe connection sustain Sekhukhune?

New boys Sekhukhune United have tied down another Zimbabwean player Charlton Mashumba ahead of the forthcoming 2021/22 DStv Premier League season.

The coming of the 29-year-old striker to Babina Noko takes the number of Zimbabweans at the club to 5 thus far ultimately taking their tally to 11 new signings for the campaign.

With the way the country’s nationals are flocking to the Kempton Park-based side it is hoped the Zimbabwe connection will help the club become a competitive side and stay afloat in the league.

Mashumba joins fellow countrymen Tapuwa Kapini who is the captain of the club, striker Walter Musona, defender McClive Phiri, speedy winger Talent Chawapiwa and striker Evans Rusike.

Babina Noko have been hyper active on the transfer market so far and it remains to be seen whether they will end on 11 or they still want to add more to their books.
