Rapper Asaph Tops Local Charts
Bulawayo rapper Asaph is cure trending for topping local radio charts. Over the weekend his single ‘Mambo’ hit number one on ZiFM Stereo’s charts. The charts which are sponsored by Gtel Zimbabwe offer a platform for local music.
The top 5 out of the 40 singles had four Zimbabwean singles. ‘Mambo’ topped Pahukama, Ngoro Yemoto, and new release, Winky D’s ‘Parliament’.
The Zim Hip Hop community has been celebrating this win. For the longest time Zim hip hop has been getting flack for lack of hits or mass appeal.
