Nadia Nakai Is the First Champion of Lip Sync Battle Africa

Nadia Nakai adds to her bragging right as the first champion of Lip Sync Battle Africa. The second season of the hit reality competition aired last night on MTV at 21.30 hours. Making her return to the show is host Pearl Thusi and her new partner in crime is the flamboyant Denrele Edun.

Nadia was up against Khanyi Mbau providing fierce competition. Mbau was the first to go on promising to raise the dead with her performance of a Leno Mathosa song. With white braids and a white jacket, Khanyi showed off her ability to channel the late songstress.

Nadia offered fans a throwback as she performed TLC’s ‘Unpretty’. Nadia was dressed in a black and white jumpsuit and was far from being ‘unpretty’.

In the second round and still in the spirit of 90s girl groups, Khanyi came out and performed 702’s ‘Where My Girls At’. Nadia showed of her dance skills as she lip synced to Busiswa’s song.

At the end of the round the people screamed and Nadia Nakai became the first champion o LSBA. It was an entertaining season premier and looks like Denrele and Pearl are hitting it off.

Nadia Nakai showing off her competitive yet fun side gives us even more reasons to love the rap queen.
