Ruvheneko Clears the Air On Capitalk Dismissal

In the past week, media personality, Ruvheneko Parirenyatwa has been at the centre of controversy. Reports had surfaced that she had been fired from Capitalk radio. Reports say that she and CapitalkFM station manager Napoleon Nyanhi aka Napster were fired from the Zimbabwe Newspapers Group-owned radio station.

Reports suggest she was dismissed by order from senior government officials. This came after her interview with National Patriotic Front’s Jealousy Mawarire last Wednesday. Ruvheneko ihas denied the allegations. According  to a report with NewZimbabwe.com, Parirenyatwa said she will issue a statement on her exit from Zimpapers.

“I will soon issue a statement on everything. Unlike all other online publications who are running with an inaccurate story, I am thankful that you are the first to actually call and verify the facts with me. I am humbled by your interest.” Ruvheneko has been roprted to have stated that she is leaving on amicable terms and by mutual consent although the Mawarire interview accelerated the process.
