Ngezi Platinum release Denver Mukamba

By Geronimo News

Ngezi Platinum Stars have released midfield maestro Denver Mukamba who has been reportedly been shown the exit door together with 5 other senior players.

Following a move to Mhondoro after being lured by Rodwell Dhlakama, Mukamba showed glimpses of his capabilities with some important goals coupled with assists serving as an illustration that he still has vast talent within him.

Under the tutelage of Dhlakama, Mukamba featured prominently for Madamburo and continued to do so when Benjani Mwaruwari assumed the head coach role when he took over from Dhlakama.

Problems, however, arose when the midfield maestro went AWOL resulting in the then interim head coach Takesure Chiragwi having to see his patience stretched by the midfielder’s acts of misconduct.

Extended with an olive branch to redeem himself, Mukamba was given another chance and featured for Ngezi Platinum Stars until the end of the 2021/2022 season.

While many may have thought Mukamba would remain a significant part of Madamburo, the recently appointed head coach Takesure Chiragwi has opted to part ways with the player as the ambitious mentor seeks to build a young formidable team that could perhaps challenge for honours in the coming season.

The platinum miners have reportedly also parted ways with Last Jesi and Ghanaian import Derrick Bonna in a clean-up exercise which is being used to prepare Madamburo for a crack at PSL glory.

In a bid to strengthen the team, Gareth Madhake and Malvin Gaki are among players that have joined Ngezi Platinum Stars.
