Rodwell Dhlakama Eager to Leave a Legacy

The covid-19 pandemic may have caused months of suspense owing to football’s non-activity but this has not dampened the ambition’s of Ngezi Platinum head coach Rodwell Dhlakama.
After taking over from Erol Akbay and steering the Mhondoro based outfit from 8th position to a top 4 finish as well a place in the Chibuku Super Cup final in the 2019 season, Dhlakama is bullish and raring to go after government announcements pointed to football returning soon, “It is great news that football will be returning soon because this is our lifestyle, this is our livelihood and such news obviously brings a ray of hope. The situation has been damaging to the players psychologically but at least the situation will be returning back to normal soon”, said Dhlakama.
He may not have a domestic premiership title to his name as a head coach but Dhlakama is proud of his past and eager to make a name for himself in Mhondoro, ”My vision is to obviously leave a legacy at Ngezi Platinum. I want to win games and trophies at the club. It is all about becoming a better team and meeting targets as well as abiding by the club’s philosophy”.
During the covid-19 enforced break Ngezi Platinum lost the services of Frank Mukarati, Mandla Mlilo, Tichaona Mabvura, Michael Charamba and James Nguluve but Dhlakama is positive of great times ahead. While there is excitement surrounded football returning Dhlakama also emphasized on the need to observe protocols so as to safeguard lives.
