Jah Prayzah charmed by Winky D video

Music superstar Jah Prayzah says Winky D’s new music video for the track “Mugarden” has raised the standards of video production in the country, admitting the new Winky D video comes as a challenge.

Jah Prayzah released an astonishing video for his track “Kunerima” on the 13th of February but 24 hours after his new offering Winky D responded in spectacular fashion with a video titled “Mugarden” which features Cape Town based Zimbabwean Gemma Griffiths.

In a wide ranging interview with Acie Lumumba on the show titled Lumumba files, Jah Prayzah admitted he was impressed by Winky D’s video and said he had called the Zim dancehall artist to congratulate him upon the release of the high quality video. While many have been drawing comparisons between “Kunerima” and “Mugarden” Jah Prayzah says he is not there to compete with Winky D but will rather strive to produce video’s of top quality.

Having attended school in Kambuzuma Jah Prayzah narrates his tough road to stardom, reflecting on the influence of Winky D who also hails from Kambuzuma.

Jah Prayzah then emphasizes an unwillingness to compete with Winky D pointing to the desire of one day collaborating with Zim dancehall’s superstar.

In the wide ranging interview with Acie Lumumba Jah Prayzah dismisses reports of having at one stage had an affair with Ammara Brown, explaining circumstances surrounding the misinterpretation of a photograph. Jah Prayzah then points to plans of continuing to grow as a top artist in the Zimbabwe music scene.
