Ruvheneko opens up on failure

Failed business adventures often occur but not many people are open to the idea of discussing their past failures. Local media entrepreneur Ruvheneko Parirenyatwa has however opened up on how she failed in an attempted business venture after launching the show titled Ruvheneko Parirenyatwa.

Ruvheneko will on Friday be hosting an event which seeks to offer a platform for prominent personalities to discuss about their personal failures and get the audience to try and learn from other peoples failures. Such a concept is prevalent in other countries where young entrepreneurs converge and discuss about past failures with the view of finding ways to be successful in the future.

For Ruvheneko launching a facebook tv show ended in failure and on Friday guests will have an opportunity of getting to find out how the project failed. Despite attracting some interest the Ruvheneko show did not turn out well from a business perspective resulting in the flamboyant media personality having to make the tough decision of pulling it out.

Ruvheneko is a well renowned media practitioner that rose to fame during her days at Zifm where she anchored a popular show which focused on grilling politicians on events occuring in Zimbabwe. From then on Ruvheneko became more of a Zimbabwean radio icon, attracting the attention of major brands that wanted to associate with her.

Despite stints at Star FM and Capitalk Ruvheneko has been a bit quite on the mainstream media as she pursues personal business interests. Ruvheneko has always had an entrepreneurial mind and as such is seeking to transform failure into a succesful project that others can learn from.

Ruvheneko wrote on her instagram wall “This is part of a global movement and event series that shares stories of professional failure. The stories of the business that crashes and burns, the partnership deal that goes sour, the product that has to be recalled, we tell them all. We do not aim to praise failure or encourage it, but rather to remove the stigma associated with it and learn from it.”
