Musona tops Afcon scorers chart

Knowledge Musona topped the scorers chart after scoring yet another goal in Zimbabwe Afcon qualifier against Congo Brazzaville. The goal by Musona saw the amiling assasin finish as the top scorer in qualifiers with 5 goals.

The impressive record saw Musona finish top of the scorer’s list ahead of the likes of Sadio Mane and Mohammad Salah. Musona who scored a hatrick in Zimbabwe’s openong win against Liberia was also on target in the warriors away win over the Democratic Republic of Congo and in Sunday’s win against Congo Brazzaville.

Apart from topping the Afcon scorets chart. Musona is also quickly closing in on the warriors top scorer of all time record.

A 36th minute strike by Musona in Zimbabwe’s 2 nil win over Congo Brazzaville charmed many with alertness seeing him dispossess the opposing defence before unleashing a ferocious effort which sent Zimbabwean fans into frenzy.

Despite his impressive goal scoring spree Musona credited his teammates after the game, “It is not about me because I do not play alone. We played as a team and my colleagues helped me achieve whatever I did. I am happy with the campaign and just hope we prepare adequately for Afcon proper”.

Knowledge Musona currently plies his trade in Belgium where he turns out for Lokeren. The smiling assasin is currently on loan from Anderlecht where he struggled to get game time after moving from KV Oostende to the Belgium giants.
