Opportunity For Young African Leaders

DEADLINE: Thursday, February 26th 2015: Applications are open for the Yale Young African Scholars Program (YYAS) to be held in Zimbabwe from August 20-25, 2015. YYAS is a six-day, residential program designed for high achieving African secondary school students interested in attending university in the United States. YYAS brings together Yale’s world renowned faculty and students, as well as local experts in their fields, in a curriculum designed to expose participants to pressing global and African issues. The program prepares students for the college application process and helps develop their potential as future leaders. High school students with 2-3 years left before graduation (graduating in 2017 or 2018, or in the Zimbabwean system current Form 3 and Form 4 students) and are 18 years or younger at the time of the program are eligible
