Ex Q Gave An Epic Shoko Festival Debut

Ex Q not only made his Shoko Festival debut but he gave an epic performance. On Saturday Mr. Putiti hit the Shoko stage to a rather large crowd of fans. The iconic musician backed by a live band and DJ Tamuka proved his showmanship. As one of the local headline acts for the festival, the ‘Nhema’ hitmaker pleasantly wowed the crowd for his first ever perfomance at the urban festival.

Ex Q who has been having a fruiful year with brand endorsements and hit songs. He kicked off his set by perfoming a throwback from his career. As predicted he introduced ‘Musala’ a song that’s nostalgic with a lot of 20 and 30 somethigs. He contiued with other throwback hits including some of his collaborations and features. He performed ‘Mazirudo’, ‘Maidei,’ ‘Rudo Rwemari’, ‘Ndichakutevera’, ‘Hauchambofona’ before getting to the current hits. The crowd sang along as well as danced to the hits.

He then perfomed current hits ‘Jerusarema’, ‘Bhachura’ and ‘Nhema’. Unfortunately his ‘Nhema’ performance was cut short due to technical glitches. Ex Q then went off the stage although DJ tamuka contiued playig the song. Despite the tecnical error, Ex Q’s performance was impressive at great levels.

Many foreign attendees at Shoko festival had been looking forward to Mr. Putiti’s set. Some of them mentioned that they loved the track ‘Nhema’ and enjoyed the show. Ex Q proved that the longevity of his 15 year career has been due to the ability to create quality entertainment. The live band added that lustre, showmanship and ability to entertain in real time.
