Takanyi Garanganga suffers second round exit in the United States

Takanyi Garanganga crashed out of the United States F25 futures tournament after succumbing to a straight sets defeat to Daniel Garza on Thursday evening.

Playing in his first tournament since helping Zimbabwe keep their position in the Davis Cup Euro/Africa Zone group II Garanganga failed to go beyond the third round after losing to Mexico’s Daniel Garza in straight sets.

Despite going into Thursday’s battle as the favourite to progress to the quaterfinals, Garanganga had a horrific encounter. The Zimbabwean top ranked player lost the first set 6-0 in just 22 minutes before losing the second 6-2.
