The self-proclaimed Queen of Zim dance-hall, Lady Squanda believes that she can be a voice for the voiceless women and children. Yesterday she reportedly said that she was passionate about women and children’s issues following the release of two tracks, ‘Anogara Achindirova’ and ‘Sorry Mama’.
These tracks mostly touch on issues of abuse in marriages and the need for children to honor their parents respectively.
Squanda added that in many of her songs she talks about the abuse of women because she believe that she am the voice of young women out there, also she target everyone because when they talk of women they are talking of their sisters, aunties, mothers and grandmothers.
”When we talk of women, we are talking of empowerment. I am saying let us do away with women and child abuse,” she said.
