Fast rising singer-songwriter ShaSha released her latest single ‘Ziwakhuphi’. Shasha who made her HIFA debut this year and featured on Jnr Brown’s ‘KaLyf KemaBoss’, had been on the low, working in the studio. She switched things up and collaborated with South African artist Bonafide Billi on the kwaito inspired single.
‘Ziwakhuphi’ was produced under Blindfaith Publishing in collaboration with Anashe Media Group.
Although the song was released on iTunes back in July, it made its radio debut on ZiFM Stereo early this month.
ShaSha is a rare voice in Zimbabwean mainstream music but she has been received. ‘Ziwakhuphi’ is a follow-up to her single ‘Catch Me’, a ballad which reportedly was meant to be on popular TV show ‘Empire’.
The song has a kwaito feel while ShaSha uses her unique voice and Bonafide Billie throws in a rap verse.
