Sadomba brings hope to Dynamos

Dynamos captain Edward Sadomba has breathed a new lease of life into the glamour boys since returning to a team where he made a name for himself early on in his career. Sadomba on Sunday made his first Dynamos return in a 2-0 victory over Caps United in the Charity Challenge Cup at the national sports stadium.

The win came as a morale booster for Dynamos fans who now have every reason to believe they will do well in the 2019 season despite wholesome changes having been made to the playing personnel. While it may appear as an overhaul, the return of Edward Sadomba to the club has brought a measure of stability due to his knowledge of the Dynamos culture of winning.

On Sunday Sasomba proved he still has a lot to offer for the glamour boys after opening the scoring for Dynamos in the 13th minute. Duduza as Sadomba is affectionately known was often a thorn in the Caps United defence illustrating just why Dynamos gaffer Lloyd Chigowe was willing to take a gamble in having the forward return to Dynamos.

Edward Sadomba exhibited knowledge of how important it is to get the fans involved when often a time he urged the supporters to rally behind the team. A darling to Dynamos fans the dembare captain will be hoping to bring joy to the faces of dembare faithfuls who have had to endure a 4 year barren spell with the last league crown having been won by Callisto Pasuwa back in 2014.

Having grown up in the dusty streets of Mbare Edward Sadomba was bred by Harare United before moving to Dynamos. It was at dembare where Sadomba built a name for himself before securing a move to Sudan where he turned out for Al Hilal. Sadomba was a hit at Al Hilal and became a crowd favourite as he scored countless goals that ensured his team was counted among the best on the African continent. After his stint in Sudan Sadomba would have a brief spell in the middle east before a lay off from competetive football.

The Dynamos technical team however lured Sadomba back to competetive football and if Sunday’s performance is anything to go by then the dembare skipper will be among players to look out for in the 2019 psl season.
