16. Samuelle Dimairho

27-year-old, Samuelle is another Zimbabwean who made the 2018 Forbes list. Samuelle is a co-founder of a couple of companies such as Chengetedzai Depository Company and Auro group Limited and of Aura Group. Chengetedzai Depository Company is Zimbabwe’s first central securities depository for the capital markets with securities’ deposits that have peaked at over $7 billion and trade settlement now in excess of $2 billion. The company had $1.5 million in revenue last year. He is also the founder of Aura Group, a management consulting, technology and business process outsourcing services company expected to turn over $2 million this year.

17. Stephanie Mavunga

Looking at Zimbabweans in the diaspora, we have Stephanie Mavunga. Standing at 1.91 m tall, Stephanie has been making waves in the Women’s National Basketball (WNBA). In April 2018, she was drafted into the WNBA in the 2nd Round. She was the 14th Overall Pick by Indiana Fever team. She holds an impressive resume including being ranked second in the ACC and 26th nationally in blocks; also ranked fifth in ACC rebounding and ninth in ACC oin field goal percentage (.523).

18. Gilbert Eugene Peters

Adding to the four Zimbabweans who made the 2018 Forbes list is Gilbert Eugene Peters. At 19, Peters started his business by buying and selling satellite dishes to his community in Harare. He and his two employees installed over 2,000 satellite dishes. At 21, he registered Spidex Media which has offices in Zimbabwe, South Africa, and Zambia. It’s one of the largest advertising companies in Zimbabwe with a majority market share in the financial sector handling brand portfolios worth over $870 million. He has won 12 business and entrepreneurship awards in Zimbabwe, a businessman of the year award at just 25 years old, and employs 55 people.

19. Sikandar Raza

Sikandar Raza Butt is a Pakistan born Zimbabwean cricket player who plays for the national cricket team. Raza was named the Player of the Tournament at the ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifier 2018. The 32-year-old cricketer was picked for the tour of Bangladesh in October-November, where Zimbabwe played three ODIs and two Tests.

20. Gashirai Nyemba

The digital space is fast growing in Zimbabwe. There’s been an emergence of digital marketers. They are the voices behind digital branding and marketing for large companies. One of these emerging digital marketers is Gashirai Nyemba. If you have noticed the dynamic changes to two of Zimbabwe’s largest radio stations online, then Gashirai is a name to place. At 25, his career started during his days as a student at Midlands State University (MSU). He started an interactive forum, an entrepreneurship hub at MSU and wrote articles in the Sunday mail to inspire youths into entrepreneurship. He started the only online advertising platform for MSU students at the time called ‘price mart’. A self taught website designer, graphic designer, Gashirai has used his skills to climb the corporate ladder one company at a time. Gashirai Nyemba has worked on a lot of digital campaigns including for top companies, politicians and even entertainers.
