Jah Prayzah, Tamy Moyo Ammara Brown and Winky D all nominated for AFRIMA awards

Zimbabwe leading musicians Jah Prayzah, Tamy Moyo Ammara Brown and Winky D have all been nominated for the 6th Annual AFRIMA awards. Each of the artists has had a sensational year in what has been one of the most memorable years in music for Zimbabwe.

Ammara Brown spoke briefly on her excitement for her nominations speaking of how grateful she is for all the support. Besides her nomination for AFRIMA awards, the singing superstar was nominated for the AFRIMMA awards which are based in America in the same month. CLICK HERE FOR MORE

Tamy Moyo picks up her first AFRIMA nomination and was visibly elated. She immediately posted on social media of her excitement. After the success of Kwandinobva, it was no surprise that she would pick up such a prestigious nomination. She has been consistently putting in work for a long time.

Jah Prayzah picks up his second nomination in a week. Jah Prayzah was also recently nominated for the prestigious AFRIMMA along with Ammara Brown. The artist had travelled to the USA for his tour when the nominations were announced. The icon has led the music industry in Zimbabwe and continues to grow even further into a global icon.

Winky D has been enjoying great success after the release of arguably his biggest hit to date MuGarden featuring Gemma. The track has been loved both locally and internationally for its quality video and the swagger of the lyrics

All the Zimbabwe artists nominated will be confident this year but will face tough competition from South Africa with the ladies competing against the likes of Kelly Khumalo and Sho Madjozi while the men will be competing with AKA Nasty C and Cassper Nyovest.

The country will be hoping that one of the music icons will bring home the gold this year.
