Youthful music artist Tamy Moyo is literally on cloud 9 after being nominated for an Afrimma award. She has been nominated in the Best Female Artiste category. Tamy will battle it out with fellow artists Ammara Brown and Nadia Nakai who are also from Zimbabwe suffice to say that Nadia will be representing South Africa where she is based. Other female artistes nominated for the award include Zonke and Sho Madjozi from South Africa.
Tamy is expecting to scoop the award albeit amid tough competition. Her song Kwandinobva clearly made a huge impact on the global music scene. The young musician said that she is thrilled at the recognition and totally excited. She recently wrote, ” Well thank you GOD JEHOVAH for this incredible news. My first Afrimma nomination…This means so much to me”. She went on to thank her fans for their support.
Most people are rallying behind Tamy and should she win the coveted award, her status will take a complete turnaround. The girl has been doing very well on the music scene. Early this year she was selected to perform at the Coke Studio in Kenya alongside other big African artistes. She also released her groundbreaking hit song “Kwandinobva” propelling her to another level of stardom.
Tamy is an accomplished singer and dancer. Her melodious voice and charming smile speak so much about her resilience in the music industry which is mainly male dominated. Most people have their fingers crossed that she will take the prize home. Some of her fans, however, stated that being nominated in itself is an achievement worth celebrating.
