Khama Billiat recently showed his humanitarian side by donating some goods to hs former primary school. The Warriors and Kaizer Chiefs star player made a suprise donation to Gwinyiro school in Mufakose on Tuesday. The soccer player recently launched his Khama Billiat Foundation which he wholly funds himself. It is aimed at giving to charity and assist in grooming sporting talent.
The donated goods were valued at R100 000. Khama and his team flew to Zimbabwe and donated the goods before he joined the Warriors in camp ahead of their Africa cup of nations qualifier against Botswana this Friday.
Khama stated,”It took long for me to do it,..Everyone needs help but we should be honest with ourselves that there are people who need help more than others”. He said this was an initiative that his foundation wanted to do before patnering with any other organizations. He stated that they were looking for other institutions to collaborate with on their humanitarian drive. Khama claimed that some organizations are already showing interest. The Khama Billiat Foundation consists of eight staff members based in Harare and South Africa.
Khama said they were not considering appointing a board because they want to avoid issues of misappropriation of funds. Most people have applauded the young star for remembering his roots and for such a noble gesture
