Marry Chiwenga further remanded to 14 January 2020.

Marry Chiwenga looked composed as she appeared for her routine remand at the Harare magistrates court today. The former model was visibly showing signs of ill health and had bandages wrapped around her arms. Her hands were still swollen as the last time. Marry is facing a myriad of criminal charges ranging from attempted murder, money laundering and fraud among others.

She was initially told to apply for bail at the high court where the final ruling is expected to be handed down tommorow. On her routine remand, she was remanded to 14 January 2020. Mary spent the Christmas holiday at Chikurubi female prison where she is currently lodged. The state is opposed to her being granted bail on the basis that she faces a serious offence which attracts a penalty of over 35 years if convicted.

Furthermore she is said to be a risk who has unfinished business with enstranged husband vice president Constantino Chiwenga. The remand came at a time when her enstranged husband is in China for medical review. He has since filed for divorce.
