Rosemary and mushroom spread: #HeartyChristmasMeals

Recipe of the day Mushroom and Rosemary Spread.

Makes 11/2 cups(375ml) Prep 15 minutes Cook time 15 minutes

INGREDIENTS.

2tablespoons olive oil 1 punnet button mushrooms,chopped 2cloves garlic,chopped 2tsp dried rosemary 1tsp dried chilli flakes, optional Salt and black pepper to taste 1tub smooth cream cheese Small handful of chives,finely chopped.

1. Heat the oil in a frying pan over high heat,add the mushrooms and fry for 6-7minutes. The heat must be high as the mushrooms need to dry-fry to remove any excess moisture.

2.Add the garlic and fry for a further 2 minutes. Add the rosemary and chilli and season well. Remove from the heat and set aside to cool.

3. Mix into the mushrooms with the chives and adjust seasoning. 4. Serve with crusty ciabatta bread
