Local singer nominated for a British award.

U.K based local singer Nursel Masuka known by her stage name Nursel Light is on cloud nine after being nominated for an award at the debit edition of the Zimbabwe British Entertainment Awards (ZimBrits). The event will be held on 1 February this year in Birmingham in the U.K. The awards ceremony was specifically organized in a bid to recognize and appreciate Zimbabweans in the U.K and also to unite singers, promoters and those involved in the arts. Nursel will be up against tough competition with the likes of Sharon Manatsa, Jane Doka and Obert Mazivisa also on the list of nominees.

She is very excited and commented,” I feel humbled and honoured to be nominated alongside great, experienced and talented artistes who have been in the music industry for a longer time than myself”. Nursel released a four track E.P last month titled Living in victory. The gospel singer will be perfoming on the awards night. She said there is new music coming up this year and even a new video on the cards. Nursel quit her job with a top U.K manufacturing company to pursue her music dreams. She seems to be doing very well considering the nomination. She is married and a mother of two.
