Jeep Grand Cherokee

The Jeep® brand chose the stage of the Paris Motor Show to present two important previews to the general public: the Grand Cherokee SRT Red Vapor limited edition and the new Jeep Wrangler Unlimited “X Package” special series. Also showcased on the stand is the new Jeep Renegade, the first Jeep Small SUV sold in more than 100 countries around the world, and the new Jeep mid-size SUV Cherokee.

Freedom, authenticity, passion and a desire to explore new horizons while changing the pre-set rules are the virtues of all Jeep products, which have certainly contributed to the brand’s considerable growth phase in Europe: +48.1 per cent in July and +45.2 per cent in August. Jeep also registered more than 21,700 cars in the first eight months of 2014, 44.7 per cent more than the same period in 2013.

New Grand Cherokee SRT Red Vapor special series

The spotlight is trained on the first Jeep début to be presented in Paris: the new Red Vapor special series of the high-performance Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT version, the fastest and most powerful Jeep model to ever be made. It features an aggressive look, as demonstrated by the 20″ five-spoke “Goliath” wheels with black chrome finish and the various glossy black badges (“SRT, “Jeep” and “Grand Cherokee”). Radar Red or shiny chrome details catch the eye and lay emphasis on the luxurious and aggressive mood of the new special series.

Another peculiarity of the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT Red Vapor is the introduction of Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) technology that carries the classic sound of the powerful 6.4-litre HEMI® V8 engine (468 HP of power and 624 Nm of torque) into the cabin. Featuring Fuel Saver technology for reduced fuel consumption and emissions, the engine provides the SRT version with performance of absolute reference: 0-100 km/h in 5 seconds, top speed of 257 km/h, stopping distance from 100 to 0 km/h in just 35 metres.
