Chiedza Mhende takes on powerful role as she makes her debut on Netflix

Chiedza Mhende the local actress who is based in South Africa is set to make her debut on Netflix. The young bubbly actress will be part of a star studded cast in a Netflix original African series titled Queen of Sono. The series is a crime drama that will reveal Chiedza’s amazing acting skills. The trailer has already caused a stir on social media with some eye catching scenes and serious body language by Chiedza. She will act alongside South African sensation Pearl This who is the lead actress.

Queen of Sono will premier on Friday 28 February 2020 and most fans cannot wait to see their favorite star in action. It will run for an initial 6 episode first season. It was directed by Kagiso Ledigo. Netflix has been on a drive to increase African content which saw the idea of pitching Queen of Sono. Chiedza made headlines for her role in popurlar soapie Generations the legacy in whcin she potrayed a transgender. The role revealed her outstanding acting prowess.

Chiedza was born in Zimbabwe but decided to pursue her acting career in South Africa. She is rated among some of the best actors in Zim.
