Jah Prayzah cancels online album launch

Jah Prayzah has postponed the online launch of his new album Hokoyo to a date to be announced. The singer had promised to launch the album online much to the amusement of his fans. He has since announced that he will not be going live on 31 March as promised earlier. The artist wrote, “I stand with the nation in the fight against covid 19 and believe at this moment that is where all our efforts should go towards”.

The singer said he had woken up to a realisation that doing rehearsals would actually expose his band members to the virus and increase the chances of infecting one another.

The country is currently on a 21 day lockdown. People have been advised to stay at home save for those deemed to provide essential services such as courts, hospitals and food outlets.
Jah prayzah has been commended for acting responsibly and for protecting his band members. Hokoyo has already attracted so much hype with the release of a new video. The video really show cases Jah Prayzah’s talent and appreciation of his culture and heritage. It was directed by Blaqs who directs most of his videos. It is indeed a true masterpiece.

Jah Prayzah is one of the most sought after singer’s in Zimbabwe and Africa as a whole. Fans were very much looking forward to the album launch. But as the singer highlighted, it would have been too risky.

The tall and shy faced singer has released songs such as Dzamutsana, Eriza and Chikomo. He has collaborated with both locla and international artists including Patoranking, Mafikizolo and ExQ
