The Media institute of Southern Africa (misa) has established free internet Wifi hotspots in urban and outlying rural areas as a way of promoting the right to access to information. Misa board member Pamenus Tuso said the information hubs were aimed at increasing access to information and knowledge across societies.
Tuso remarked,” Fundamentally, the internet or ICTs are critical in advancing the exercise and enjoyment of the right to freedom of expression and access to information as provided for in our constitution”. He said the project will also complement Misa
