CUMA, Ngezi U19 share spoils

It was a game of few chances at Chakari Stadium on Sunday as CUMA hosted Ngezi Platinum U19 in a Northern Region Division 1 League matchday 7 fixture.

With both teams having a cautious approach, Ngezi Platinum U19 were able to draw first blood on the stroke of halftime when bustling forward Tinotenda Musariranwa placed the ball beyond the reach of the defenders and the goalkeeper as the visitors took the lead going for the breather.

In the second half, CUMA seemed to have fueled up and started piling pressure on their opponents and their efforts were rewarded after just 10 minutes into the second stanza when they were awarded a penalty after a Ngezi defender handled in the box.

CUMA goalkeeper Godknows Gurure then stepped up and made no mistake to level matters for the hosts.

Both teams continued to pour men forward in search of a winner that proved elusive in a game which ended in a 1 all stalemate.
