Blaqs

The renowned award winning video director is the current it-guy. However he has ruffled some feathers with some people calling him unprofessional. Vusa Blaqs had a disagreement with Stunner earlier this year. The dispute included issues about tribalism and professionalism. There were several music videos that delayed in release such as Ammara’s ‘Akiliz’ music video.

Fungisai

The inspiration and gospel musician gave definition to ‘he who has no sin’. Mid year, Fungisai was arrested and tried for causing an accident which involved three cars. She was also reprimanded by local airlines for smuggling mahewu on a plane.

Seh Calaz

Zimdancehall act Seh Calaz was accused by now fiancé, Moira Knight of assault and battery. Seh Calaz and Moira separated for a while. She made a song sharing her experience. Early in December the couple reunited and Seh Calaz allegedly paid lobola.

Tererai Mugwadi

Urban grooves singer Tererai Mugwadi tends to have controversy follow behind her. She was arrested and charged for drinking under the influence.

Genius Kadungure

Whenever Genius throws an all white party there’s a chance for ‘drama’. This year the flamboyant businessman had tongues wagging after a video of him dry humping another man went viral. This caused whispers on the street about Ginimbi’s sexual orientation. He denied the allegations, however the video like all controversial videos, created a mark for Genius’ reputation.
