Andy Muridzo Set for Emotional Return to Bulawayo Stage

Afro Beat and contemporary musician Andy Muridzo is set to make a highly anticipated return to Bulawayo, exactly six months after his last performance in the city. The Dherira hitmaker will reconnect with his fans at the Palace Hotel on October 10, promising a full night of music and celebration.
The show is being seen as a compensatory event, following his previous appearance in April at White City Stadium, where fans were left disappointed after his short set. Muridzo explained at the time that his brief performance was due to scheduling challenges, as he was also booked for the Independence Day Gala in Gokwe-Nembudziya on the same night.
This time, Muridzo has assured fans that the upcoming show will be different. He plans to give a complete and energetic performance featuring some of his most popular songs, including Zvipande, Gara Wavariga, Gweja, and Chidhafu Dunda.
“I don’t want to focus more on the past, because I have moved on. What I know is that this event is a way of me reconnecting with my fans who made me who I am today,” Muridzo said. “I have so much respect for my fans in Bulawayo because they have supported me from day one. And on this show, I will give my all as I make it up for them. I will deliver my best as I party with my followers the whole night.”
Sharing the stage with Muridzo will be Hwindi President, who expressed his excitement about performing in Bulawayo again. “Bulawayo is one of the places that challenges me because the crowd is not predictable. This means that on this gig I have to put more effort and make sure that I deliver a classic performance,” he said.
He also praised Muridzo’s stage presence and energy. “I have performed alongside Andy Muridzo on a number of occasions. His energy is unmatched as he has the capacity to control the crowds while on stage. This also inspires me to do my best. My fans have to come and witness me on stage as I will give them a glimpse of some of my upcoming singles.”
Following the Bulawayo concert, Muridzo and Hwindi President will head to Beitbridge for another performance on October 11, extending their musical journey to fans in the border town.
The upcoming Bulawayo show is expected to reaffirm Muridzo’s strong bond with his audience while highlighting his renewed commitment to live performance excellence.
