To New Zealand’s surprise the Zimbabwean cricket team came out guns blazing as they produced a ruthless bowling performance that kept the Black caps on the back foot. After bowling first the Zim side restricted the hosts to 157 for 7 with Tinashe Panyangara and Elton Chigumbura among bowlers that gave New Zealand batsmen lot’s to worry about.
Pegged back at 157 for 7 heavy rain played the party spoiler in a contest that had to be abandoned owing to incessant rains.
