Danai Gurira Named One Of The Most Influential Africans for 2015
Another Zimbabwean abroad making us all proud. Actress and activist Danai Gurira was named one of the most influential African of 2015.
The 37 year old American based actress is well known for her role as Michonne on the highly-rated TV show, Walking Dead but she has been involved in many productions in her career.
Gurira has a degree from Tisch School of the Arts at NYU. She also is the co-founder of Almasi Arts Alliance which is based here in Zimbabwe which its mission is to promote African dramatic artists, through training, mentorship and to build the dramatic arts industry in Africa.
