“Collaborating With Oliver Mtukudzi And Hugh Masekela Cemented My Stay In The Industry” -Berita

Berita Khumalo is on top of her game and finally enjoying her success but the songstress has not forgotten some of the big names that helped her get to where she is.

Berita spoke to SA’s News24 about getting used to people enjoying her music. “It took a while, I was very much removed from what’s happening in the music industry and it literally took me two years to catch up. Now I feel my own power as young woman in the music industry.”

Talking about her 2015 highlights, Berita  talked about her hit single “Mwana WaMai which featured two of African legends Oliver Mtukudzi and Hugh Masekela who she says are like her industry fathers. “As a young woman in the industry , it really cemented my stay in the industry.”

Talking about her plans for the new year, Berita says get ready for more rhythmic songs but don’t worry she’ll still make her signature ballads. Also expect more collaborations from the young legend in the making.
