Bob Marley’s Family No Longer Attending The ZIMA Awards

The late icon Bob Marley’s family are no longer attending the Zimbabwe Music Awards to be held tomorrow at the HICC.

Reports say  Marley’s wife Rita will not make it to the Awards ceremony to receive her late husband honorary Award due to illness and cannot travel in her state.

“We’d hoped to have Marley’s wife Rita to receive the accolade, sadly she had not been well so travelling was a problem for her”, said the ZIMA spokesperson in a statement.

The Marley family will reportedly accept the award via skype during the ceremony. The award is set to honor the legend for his tireless contributions to the freedom of Zimbabwe.
