FC Platinum signs Junior Selemani

By Geronimo News

Zimbabwe champions FC Platinum have signed Junior Jarrison Selemani as part of the club’s deliberate stance to bolster their strike force ahead of the coming season.

The 25-year-old who becomes the platinum miners’ first signing of the year plays as a forward and is comfortable on either wing (right or left).

Renowned for his speed, dribbling, shooting and off the ball movements, the former Dynamos winger is expected to add firepower to the FC Platinum attacking line.

With age still on his side, Selemani is expected to give coach Norman Mapeza some more spines as the Zvishavane based outfit aims towards retaining their crown.

He will join the likes of Thandolwenkosi Ngwenya, Panashe Mutimbanyoka, Gift Mbweti, Stanley Ngala and Elias Maguri among others in the strike force.

The move by Mapeza and his technical team to bring in Selemani is a clear pointer that Kugona Kunenge Kudada are serious on maintaining their dominance on the Zimbabwean football landscape.

After haunting FC Platinum while turning out for Cranborne Bullets last season, the nimble-footed Selemani would then attract interest from Mapeza who then decided to lure him to Zvishavane ahead of the 2023 campaign and even beyond.

FC Platinum turned a new leaf during the start of the previous season when Mapeza wielded an axe on most senior players opting for young blood as he looked into the team’s future.

Therefore, the signing of Selemani will come with more competition and bring about more options for the team.
