Bosso, Makepekepe clash hangs in the balance

Uncertainty has shrouded the big clash between Highlanders and Caps United pencilled for Barbourfields Stadium in Bulawayo on Sunday as the Green Machine players have threatened to boycott the match over non-payment of salaries.

The move by the Caps United players is part of efforts to push the authorities that be at the club to settle their three months’ salary arrears.

And should nothing happen between now and latest tomorrow (Saturday) then the high-profile match is highly likely to be thrown into disarray with the Green Machine being walked over on a three nil score line.

Makepekepe players have since boycotted training for the whole of this week due to this issue of non-payment of their salaries, something which is not healthy for the team should the match finally takes centre stage.

It seems the financial challenges bedevilling the Caps United camp have become a perennial problem with the club president Farai Jere at one point coming out in open that the team is now up for sale to any potential investor.

It, however, remains to be seen whether the much-touted big clash pitting Makepekepe and Bosso will see the light of the day.
