Winky D’s Mugarden makes BBC charts

Winky D’s popular track Mugarden continues to make waves after claiming 5th place on the BBC extra DJ Edu DNA top 5 chart. The track is among a list of other popular African songs including the one sung by Tattema featuring Diamond Platinumz which currently tops the list.

Following the release of the Mugarden video on valentines day the song went viral with many Zimbabweans impressed by the level of fluency exhibited by Gemma Griffiths who sang in Shona throughout the song. Even more captivating was the scene created which depicts the beautiful garden of eden.

As a result of having been trending Mugarden finds itself on BBC extra charts, which is an indication of the songs success.
Apart from BBC extra Mugarden also recently made the charts on London based channel Vox Africa.

In the most recent top 5 countdown Mugarden was placed in 4th position outlining the video as a top quality offering which is gaining traction outside the country’s boarders. Vox Africa is a Pan African channel which was established in 2008 and operates from London.

Since its establishment it has had an ever growing audience owing to unique content which appeals to the African population.
