Julius Malema pays his last respects to Robert Mugabe.

South African opposition leader of the EFF, Julius Malema recntly paid a visit to former first lady Grace Mugabe at the blue roof residence. He paid his last respects to former president Robert Mugabe. Malema was a staunch supporter of the late former leader of Zimbabwe. He marvelled at Mugabe’s land reform programme and commended him for leaving his fellow black people with land unlike in South Africa where the bulk of state land is owned by white people. Malema stated that he visited Grace in order to thank her personally for taking care of the former president until the last minute. Mugabe died in Singapore after a long battle with ill health a few weeks ago. There has been friction between his family and the government with regards to his burial. Even after being declared a national hero, his family has insisted that he will not be buried at the national heroes acre. It has however been agreed that a masoleum will be built in his honour. Malema’s visit on the 23rd of September has been commended by many. Norton legislator Themba Mliswa was however denied entrance at the blue roof residence. He was advised that the former first family was out. Grace Mugabe is reportedly clinging on to the body of her late husband which is lying in state inside their house until his burial in a month’s time.
