Award winning comedian Q Dube is in South Africa for the Johannesburg International Comedy Festival.

Q will be joining over 50 local and international comedians in Johannesburg for the comedy festival. He will be performing on Friday the 31st of March in a show under the theme ‘Stand Up for Africa’. The show will be hosted by Nigeria’s Basketmouth.

The festival being held at The Alexander Theatre. The show will feature six comedians from six different countries, celebrating the very best stand-up comedy found in Africa today. The African acts include Loyiso Madinga, Eddy Kadi, Imran Yusuf, Prince Abdi and of course Q the boss and Basketmouth.

This year’s festival will have thirteen shows, across six venues in just three days, in the Braamfontein and Newtown areas in Joburg this March. The Johannesburg International Comedy Festival returns for a second take from the 30 March- 1 April. The festival is already named, the biggest Independent International Comedy Festival in Africa.

 

Q is no stranger to large platforms as he has performed in the USA as well as hosted big acts such as Ugandan queen of comedy Anne Kansiime. He was a headline performer at the 2016 Zimbabwe International Women’s Awards (ZIWA) held in the UK.
