Warriors continue to slump on FIFA World Rankings

The Zimbabwe senior men’s national football team, the Warriors have dropped five places on the latest Coca Cola FIFA World Rankings for September released today (Thursday).

This is the second time on the trot that the team has slumped on the FIFA World Rankings owing to their poor performances both on the regional and international stage.

this follows the team’s dismal performance at the two weeks international break were the Qatar 2022 World Cup qualifiers took centre stage across the globe.

Zimbabwe are now on position 113 in the world and 28 in Africa having lost 10.97 points along the way.

The Warriors drew with South Africa at home before losing away to Ethiopia in their last two World Cup qualifying matches to anchor Group G.

Senegal remain the number one team in Africa and have also moved up to 20th in the world followed by Tunisia, African champions Algeria, Morocco, Nigeria, Egypt, Ghana, Cote d’Ivoire, Cameroon and Mali to complete the top 10.

Meanwhile, Belgium remain the number one ranked nation in the world with Brazil on second while England, France, Italy, Argentina, Portugal, Spain, Mexico and Denmark make up the formidable 10.
