Bosso, Makepekepe face off in Chibuku Super Cup quarterfinals

Highlanders and Caps United have been paired together in the quarterfinals of the 2023 Chibuku Super Cup competition.

The two teams have a rich history of rivalry and this encounter is expected to reignite that fire.

Highlanders edged out Bulawayo Chiefs in an intense 6-5 penalty shootout to advance to the quarterfinals.

With their impressive first-round performance, the team will be keen on taking down Caps United.

Makepekepe, on the other hand, secured their place in the quarterfinals by defeating Hwange.

The team has been performing well and is eager to make a mark in the Chibuku tournament.

The last time the two sides met was in the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League, where Bosso emerged victorious with a 2-1 win.

However, Highlanders’ recent form has been a cause for concern as the team has failed to win in their last three fixtures, putting a dent in their chances of winning the championship.

Despite their recent struggles, Highlanders will be looking to put up a good fight against Caps United.

The Chibuku tournament is of great importance, as the winners will get the chance to represent Zimbabwe in the CAF Confederation Cup Competition.

This is a game that neither team will want to lose.

In other quarterfinal fixtures Ngezi Platinum Stars will face their bogey side Herentals College while Dynamos are set for a clash against FC Platinum as Chicken Inn and Black Rhinos square off in the other last 8 contest.
