Hot new video silences Winky D critics

A brand new video released by Winky D has silenced critics, with the video to the track Mugarden blowing away youtube users. After being posted it took just 3 hours for the video to reach 20,000 views, an indication of the quality of the new new offering which is expected to be a contender on the charts.

The track by Winky D is a Valentine’s gift to his fans. The song features Cape Town based rising star Gemma Griffiths who despite being white can sing fluently in Shona. 

The song has received mixed reactions but overally the response has been positive. The video takes people down memory lane right into the garden of Eden with Gemma Griffiths holding a large yellow snake and sharing an apple with Winky D.

The lyrics to the song also speak about two people being in love and living as if they are the only two people in the world just as Adam and Eve did. The video received over ten thousand views in just an hour, proving that Winky D is one of the most loved artists in Zimbabwe

The video was directed by Sos  and is a clear celebration of love. Winky D has always composed music that appeals to his fans. Previous hits such as Chifinhu, taitirana, gombwe and musarove bigiman have seen him being nominated for various awards. Recently Winky D walked away with the People’s choice award at the star FM music awards.

Winky D last year came under criticism after his track Ngirozi hogged the limelight but when the video was released it appeared not to appeal to viewers.
