Mandizwidza ready to shine

Shingirai Mandizwidza is eager to stamp his mark at Gordon College Soccer Team having had an intriguing journey which began in his native land back in Zimbabwe.

After kickstarting his footballing journey in Harare where he turned out for David Livingstone Juniors at the tender age of 6, Shingirai Mandizwidza has always shown great promise with appearances at St Paul’s High School, Prisons Academy, Tomlinson Football Club, and Prisons FC having all played important roles in his development cycle.

Following impressive performances at Winchendon School in the United States of America, the 21-year-old footballer is now relishing the prospect of making a mark in his football journey at Gordon College Soccer Team where he is expected to join the team roster.

Renowned for having an innate ability to flex his muscles on both sides of the ball, Mandizwidza has earned plaudits for his eye for goal as well as his multifaceted offensive movement.

Apart from his relentless pursuit to score goals, the hardworking forward has over the years established himself as a team player that is able to create space for teammates courtesy of his running power and intelligent off the ball movement.

Blessed with the ability of knowing when to drop deep and connect play with his back to goal or surge in behind with shrewdly angled and directed runs, Mandizwidza is expected to be a player that will bring a different dimension to the Gordon College front line.

Apart from his attacking prowess Mandizwidza boasts of an impressive work ethic which often sees him tirelessly embarking on forward pressing, a key attribute of the modern forward.
