FC Platinum plots Harare City downfall

By Geronimo News

Reigning champions and log leaders FC Platinum are hoping to continue with their fine run and take firm control of the championship race when they travel to the National Sports Stadium for a date with struggling Harare City on Saturday (tomorrow).

The platinum miners have been enjoying top form for the past ten games after registering 9 wins and one draw to open a 6-points gap at the summit of the table.

Walking with a spring in their step following their impressive outings lately FC Platinum are hopeful they will bag maximum points come Saturday and further mount Harare City’s relegation woes.

Coming on the back of a hard fought narrow 1-0 win against ZPC Kariba at Mandava Stadium last weekend, the log leaders will be looking to build on that fighting spirit and further cement their title credentials.

With youngsters like Walter Musona and Thandolwenkosi Ngwenya rich in form, the Zvishavane outfit will be banking on the duo’s prowess in front of goal to get the result that they want.

On the other hand, Harare City will also be plotting to dent FC Platinum’s fine run as they work towards moving away from the murky waters of relegation.

The Sunshine Boys are having a top turvy campaign and things are not looking good for the Taurai Mangwiro coached outfit hence the need for them to start grinding positive results if they are to stay afloat in the country’s top tier football league.

Harare City are currently just one place above the drop zone on 22 points.
