First lady extends helping hand to Gringo.

The first lady Auxilia Mnangagwa recently paid a visit to Lazarus Boora popurlaly known as Gringo following his operation. She brought with her some basic goods, blankets and other items to ensure that he settles back home comfortably after undergoing surgery for a life threatening rupture of the appendix.

Gringo had been rushed to hospital after complaining of severe abdominal pains. He had been operated on. Has family had appealed for help to settle medical costs as the incident had happened during a difficult and unplanned period. Celebrities such as Jackie Ngarande had mobilised resources but it was Pokello who went the extra mile and paid the hospital bill.

Auxilia Mnangagwa’s visit has been hailed as a heartwarming gesture with most people applauding her efforts in keeping base with citizens. Others stated that the visit was indeed warranted considering how Gringo had kept viewers glued to their television sets for decades with hillarious comedy.

Gringo starred in the local drama bearing the same name. He played the role of a witty and naive gardener whose main concern in life was to feed himself and poke at others. He usually left viewers in stitches with his cunning remarks and funny phrases. Gringo also starred in the sequel to the original Gringo drama. The comedian is now recovering at home after having been discharged from hospital.
