FC Platinum building for the future

Zimbabwe’s representatives in the CAF Champions League FC Platinum are not looking back in their quest to build for the future after adding five youngsters to their senior team ahead of the much-awaited return of the Premier Soccer League.

Confirming the development on their Twitter account, FC Platinum said four of the players have been promoted from their developmental side (U19) while the fifth is an import.

The quartet are Thandolwenkosi Ngwenya, Oscar Bhebhe, Thubelihle Ndlovu and Peace Chivhunduko while Nigerian national Abubakar Onifade has been imported from Clique Sports Academy.

Ndlovu and Chivhunduko are midfielders while Onifade and Ngwenya will bolster the strike force.

Meanwhile, the Zimbabwe champions are having their work cut out at their Zvishavane base Mandava Stadium in preparation for the September 11 CAF Champions League first preliminary round first leg tie against Sagrada Esperança in Angola with the reverse fixture pencilled for Harare a week later.
